Auto Progreso question

Recommended Posts

I think we will be using Auto Progreso to tour Uxmal. Is this really something we need to reserve and pay for ahead of time? I would really rather not go through their online payment system. Will they reserve without payment? Can you negotiate fee if you find them in port after the ship docks?

Thanks!

You do not have to prepay. Send them an E-mail and ask what time the tour will be leaving the staging area so that you plan your shuttle ride in from the pier accordingly.

We have found they will not negotiate price. Auto Progreso runs the shuttle service and they will have a rep on the bus and as soon as you step off you can buy the tickets and they direct you to the line for your tour. They are wearing peach colored shirts.

They are rock solid. We used them last Jan. We planned on doing the Chichen-itza tour but missed the bus. The departure time is from town not the pier. They put us on the Uxmal trip and we loved it. We liked it so muh we are going to do it again.

All you do is email them when and how many and you pay before you board.
