The food and drinks were good and the water was pristine.....
SeaPete Posted August 19, 2011 #53 Share Posted August 19, 2011 I thought drinks and food were included in the price...why do they bother putting any prices if it is included?

Twibbs Posted August 19, 2011 #55 Share Posted August 19, 2011 I thought drinks and food were included in the price...why do they bother putting any prices if it is included? That menu normally isn't given to guests, I think. It might be for if you're ordering for a big group or something. Those prices are NOT for individuals! pupskate Posted August 20, 2011 #57 Share Posted August 20, 2011 I have to respond because I know when I hear things like that it makes me nervous about trying a place. There are whatever bugs in the sand at alot of beaches-I had them in Antigua at a beautiful beach too. I did not get bit at Nacchi.Food was great and i have a very sensitive stomach. Could you please elaborate a little bit on the bug thing? I am a huge baby when it comes to bugs, so please excuse my immaturity...LOL. Are these like no-seems, or creepy crawly critters? I'm just being a baby, but I am curious about the situation. THanks!!
floridalady Posted August 20, 2011 #58 Share Posted August 20, 2011 NO NO NO -no creepy crawly thing or I would not go there.Believe me! What I call mosquitos and they are anywhere that's hot.Mosquitos/no see ums...to me same thing. Again,we did not get bit in Nacchi at all. I am going next year to Roatan and everyone says you get bit there.I am gonna bring repellant and not worry. Going back to Nacchi in march and wont spray a thing. jimswims Posted August 21, 2011 #59 Share Posted August 21, 2011 I am glad that I stumbled on this thread. I am trying to put together ideas for our family cruise in February. This looks like a good place for all of us.

funinthesun1964 Posted August 22, 2011 #62 Share Posted August 22, 2011 It seems like it's unanimous, and it should be. We tolerated Cozumel on our first trip there, but the next year we booked Nachi and now we can't wait to get back! We don't drink, but the service and the food are well worth the price! We'll be back there the first Monday in November, save us a seat! This will be my first time in Coz, and thinking about this. So far I've learned to book through Island Marketing? (I'm sure I can find via google). Other question: is it a one-price for all you can eat and drink? Anyone know how much to rent a 2-person jetski? We are interested in that - sounds fun. And I wonder how far you would need to book in advance - I would kind of like to wait until the last minute - just to make sure no hurricanes will be in our vicinity that week! Kryssa Posted August 22, 2011 #63 Share Posted August 22, 2011 The Menu prices are pesos. At today's conversion $10 pesos = $0.82 US Dollars. The nachos would be $3.61US Dollars alacarte. Last time I was there in November, they'd divide peso amounts by 11 to get the cost in dollars. That would explain why all the amounts are multiples of 11 :)

Booking through Island Marketing is real simple and you get a confirmation. It is one price for all you can drink plus an appetizer, entree and dessert. I usually get two appetizers instead of a dessert. if I remember correctly, you pay a deposit for the reservation then pay the rest when you arrive. You may want to look to see how many shops are in port the same day you are to see if you think you need to book well in advance. If there are more than three ships that day I would definitely make reservations sooner than later.
rhcpchika1 Posted August 22, 2011 #67 Share Posted August 22, 2011 Definitely don't wait to book; they lock out the reservations at 100 people. You can book directly through their website or through island marketing. I always do their direct website. Also, if weather prevents you from visiting, I believe they return your deposit. LYMBURN Posted August 23, 2011 #68 Share Posted August 23, 2011 Did you go a la cartre or have to pay the full all inclusive rate? How much does it cost by taxi per person there is 5 of us to get to nachi cocum?

How much does it cost by taxi per person there is 5 of us to get to nachi cocum? It is only AI, and it is worth it! :D A taxi for 4 of us from the pier was $15+tip, so for 5 plan on $20 plus. Good luck! :)
bigtoeswim'n Posted August 24, 2011 #70 Share Posted August 24, 2011 My two cents: DH and I were at Nachi last Dec 2010. Had a great time. Beach clean as well as bathrooms. Safe. Quiet. There was road construction going on, so we left around 3 pm. Taxi ($15+tip each way for up to four) can get scare as EVERYONE wants to get back to ship. Food was very good, but more "fatty" for my tastes. I got ceveiche (?) and fish. No room for dessert. Wonderful service. Got more than tipsy on the drinks. The water was chilly but warmed up by noon. Very relaxing. Wish I had done the parasailing. Activities are extra. I was El chicheno. LOL We used Island Marketing, too. You can google American AI (all inclusive) and see what you get there. We like interacting with the locals, though. Got a great and cheap photo at the front entrance. We are going back to Coz this Sep 2011 and will be doing the ship's Swim with Dolphin excursion.
