Easiest or best beaches in Grand Cayman and Cozumel for 2.5 yr old twins?

Hi,

We will be sailing with our then 2.5 year old twins. The first time was when they

were 14 months old and it was kind of a disaster. They were up every night at 3 am and we were exhausted!!

We are hoping that since both of them sleep the night through now, that it will be easier. :D

We would love to know what are the best beaches or other things that we might be able to do with the twins in these islands.

I know that we have to carry a lot of stuff for them and shouldn't take their strollers because of the sand, so we wonder what would be more convenient.

We will be grateful for any advice.

Thanks!!

On GC, there is a bus right at port...it will take you anywhere on 7-mile beach. It's all public and fairly narrow, so no long walks! At the access points, there are public restrooms, and restaurant/bars up and down the beach. Chair/umbrella rentals are avail. at every access point, too.

Also, on GC is Stingray City and Hell (lots of folks like to say they've been to Hell and back!)....so there is other stuff besides the beach. The shopping area right off the ship is easy to walk and navigate...do bring a stroller for that!

We love Mr. Sancho's and Paradise Beach. Both are a short taxi ride from the ship and a drop off at the club entrances. Both have beautiful sandy beaches, gorgeous pools, beach chairs, umbrellas, food/drink service, clean bathrooms, etc.

Bonuses: The pool at Paradise beach is huge, Mr. Sancho's tends to be less crowded. We began enjoying these beaches when our youngest was three years old.

Have a great time! :)

We did nachi cocum when DS was not quite 1 year old. The beach was beautiful, service was excellent (it's an all-inclusive). You get a chair for each person and an umbrella and the staff gets everything set up for you. Lunch is included and the food was great. Very nice pool area, beautiful beach and the water was calm.

What I liked best was they limit entry to 100 I believe so it doesn't get too crowded, they recommend reserving in advance (we did online) to make sure you get a spot.

We took a short taxi ride from the port, prices are set so there's no haggling and taxi's are readily available when you're ready to head back. If there isn't one the staff will call one for you. I think it would be great for the age that DS is now (almost 2.5 years).
