Rare orville99 Posted August 9, 2011 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2011 I see this thing currency conversion authorization and I am puzzled as to what is the right choice? Depends on what country your credit card is from. If it's a US card, you don't have to do anything with those boxes. If your CC is from another country, you can either have RCI do the conversion from US $$ to your local currency or have the CC company do the conversion when the charges hit. Whenever I travel to Europe, I always let the CC Company do the conversion since they don't charge a service fee and convert at the day's price on the day that RCI sends them the full bill. RCI charges a 3% service fee to do the conversion and they use the spot price when the charges hit their system (so you could have a different exchange rate each day).
