On the Miracle out of NY and I was wondering if I could bring snacks on board for my kids. Like potatoe chips, and their favorite cookies etc. I also want to know what is the best time to report to the cruise port.:D

Not sure of anything except get to the port at 10:30 to get on as early as possible and you will love the Miracle....great ship. Sailaway out of NY is incredible i hear.....pass the Statue of Liberty...Coney Island....and under the Verrazano Narrows Bridge. Enjoy your cruise...im jealous ;)

The best thing to do is check out the Roll Call section. I bet there is a thread started that could help you with your question about when to board. As far as snacks, yes you can bring your own snacks!

Yep... you're free to bring snacks and such along.

I've arrived at the pier in New York at 10:30 AM and had no problems at all... ensures a low boarding number!

You're going to love the Miracle and sailing out of NY Harbor. Have a wonderful time, and when you come back drop a line or two (or thousand) about your cruise.. we'd love to hear about it. We'll be watching your sail away on the harbor webcam.

Yup, bring your snacks. You will be glad that you did. The only potato chips that were sold were the cans of Pringles in the gift shop and they were almost $5 a can. :eek: If you want to take your snacks off of the ship for excursions, make sure they are the individually packed kind. We brought granola bars and individual bags of mixed nuts off the ship and didn't have a problem but those that had food that was not factory sealed had to put it in a bin and leave it behind. There is lots of food on the ship, but you are right that it is nice to have a snack handy for your cabin, especially if you have children.

Just off the Miracle and we brought snacks and juice for our 5 year old...came in handy. Also brought a thermos/sippy cup and filled it with juice/water ....

I agree with what everyone else says but have one thing to add. It doesn't say where in NY you are from. We come in from LI and have found that arriving from the north is the easiest way to navigate to the port, much easier than trying to get across mid-town, especially during a week day. We took the Triboro (now the RFK) bridge and headed south.

 

Have a great cruise on the Miracle! We will be on her in 42 days. :D

I'll be taking the west side highway . My kids are young so I know they are going to have the snacks they are use to getting at home. I promise to write a great review when I get back home.
