Princess Countdown Clock

I never pay any attention to it until my cruise gets really close, as is the case with one I thought left on August 22. My countdown clock says the Star boards on August 21, and it gave me a bit of a start. Could I really have made such an error, especially on a cruise departing VCE, not FLL or Red Hook? So, for those of you with cruises leaving in the next week or so, check your CD clock and see if it's accurate. Yes, I've pointed the error out to Princess for what it's worth.

I have noticed that mine takes into account the time difference between my home town and the departure port. It has me leaving in about 21 days and 8 hours. Today is the 16th, so 21 days would be 9/6, but we leave on the 7th. When you add in the 8 hours, now you have 2am on 9/7. When you adjust for the time difference, voila, 4pm Sidney time.

But that's Sydney and Italy is only 6 hours ahead of EST. The CD clock clearly says the Star is to be boarded on Sunday August 21. In fact it is Monday August 22.

Believe me, Paul. This occured at around 4PM EST, so it was still August 16 in Italy at around 10PM. I went to the detailed page on the CD clock and there HIGHLIGHTED was Sunday, August 21. An arrow pointed to that day and noted that the cruise started on 8/21. There is no international dateline confusion here. Princess clearly was saying on its CD clock that boarding was to start a day earlier than the Princess personalizer shows. I'm on a different computer now which has no CD clock, so I can't tell if the correction has been made. I wonder if this is a universal problem, or merely one associated with the Star sailing on 8/22. I would think Princess sites would share the same database. Apparently they don't.
