Have fun Kate.........pretty soon we'll see if Robyn does indeed have a goat when we all are on the FR together in Oct.......and unfortunately, you and I are G-less on that cruise.:(

Did you book through a TA? Maybe it stands for "group" as in a group booking through the TAs so that they can offer you extra benefits.

We booked with a TA who happen to be friends of ours and do mostly corporate travel, so no group. I know for a fact, we're not part of a group booking, so no on that theory too.

About a 100 pages ago we determine it wasn't a group. ;)

Just to recap to those trying to solve the real mystery

- Robyn booked direct wih RCI

- She is not part of any Group

- she is DP as is the cabinmate she is sailing with - no one is Gold

- Yes, she called RCI to verify that she is still DP

- as did the person she is sailing with

- She is on Freedom

- In an AFT JS on Deck 10

- No she didn't order any Gifts

- Her card is suppose to be SILVER, not Gold as has been the cards of the past people who stayed in the same JS

- It could be a Gate that she is suppose to be checking into

- But there have been Emerald cruisers in a JS with the same G

And NOW - the Goat ate her DP and she is no longer DP.

Are we all up to speed? Good! :D

Thanks for the recap cruisenmama. I know you have been following since the beginning. I have also posted in this thread and sometimes I think a few people read the last page or 2. We are Gold in a JS with a G. We booked on board the Radiance Oct 2010. I think I remember reading a post of someone that is there first cruise with RCI in a JS and has a G. It seems to be on all Set Sail Pass of JS and higher. Others have posted in rooms in categories higher than a JS with a G.

I think they knew we would start a thread like this and just continue to speculate!!!!!!!! I'll wager that all the higher ups at RCCL are sitting in their offices reading this thread and laughing their you know whats off!!!!!!!!

Until we find out - I'll be trying to figure out what to feed my goat!!!!:D

Old SeaPass statements make excellent goat feed. The larger the balance the better. :D

I'm glad some people are still taking this thread seriously, otherwise I'm sure the mods would have moved us to Floataway long ago. ;)

I Read through this entire thread late last night and of course had to check our SSP. The first one I printed off in May has P JS. A newly printed one this morning has P G JS. Our JS is aft 7692, so def not location as suggested by the one rep. Have to say, I am really enjoying this thread. Just never know where those goats will show up next:D Thanks for the laughs!

Well, I'm Emerald, have a JS on Serenade in December, and have a G. Perhaps you would like to modify your guess now??:D

I had missed several pages of posts (this thread has moved so fast!) and had not noted the meager Gold level person (like us) in a JS reporting the mystery G. So theory totally blown. :(

I now inclined to agree with the prority boarding indicator to take it out of the hands of staff at check-in and make it cut & dried who gets that. No "G" no prority. On the otherhand why make it so obscure rather just printing "Priority Boarding"? And why on the Set Sail paperwork and not on the SeaPass? Unless they are going to hand these people some other sort of indicator like a wrist band, special card or a gate goat.
