P&O Excursions to Monaco

Hi,

having a dilemma on which tour to book to Monaco. Pricipality of Monaco is £65, including lunch. Monaco on your own is £38. £38 imho is a lot to pay for transport to/from Monaco. The pricipality tour is probably better value, but I can't make up my mind. my questions are:

a) Has anyone done the pricipality tour, and is it worth the extra?

b) What is the lunch like?(in both quality and quantity).

c) The tour details on the website are a little vague. What do you actually see on the tour, and do you see the changing of the guard at 11.55?

d) how much free time will we have for the wife to max out my credit card?

I know it is not too much trouble just to get a bus/train from Villefranche into monaco, but we are travelling with a little girl so could do without the extra hassle. Plus, it's taken me long enough to decide that we will definately do a trip rather than go it alone, so please don't try and dissuade me now!

many thanks in advance,

Darren

Rubbish reply as I havnt done the tours you mention BUT have been there lots of times.

The tour With lunch looks a good price when you think it cost us £3.00 for an opal fruit ice lolly back in 1997 !!!

I expect the tour includes the Palace.. we did that tour but it was a half day tour.

Its a lovely place I doubt you will do much shopping expect for the tourist stuff that is for sale in the small market area. Or the chocolate shop in the old town.

We did our own thing in Monaco.

There is a little train which takes you on a tour round it's just along from where the ship moors. (Small charge)

We walked up through the gardens along to the palace down through the market, on to the casino, finally along the road that is part of the Monaco Grand Prix circuit this takes you down to the marina and back towards the ship.
