YORKI1 Posted September 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2011 Our Princess cruise stops at Dominica on December 4 2011 and I would like to visit the Rainforest Aerial Tram. Anyone give me an idea of the taxi cost from the port? Thank you.

YORKI1 Posted September 25, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted September 25, 2011 I did contact the company direct, but never got a response. I have now booked with Princess, on balance it looks the best option.
Coolmama_1 Posted October 16, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2011 We just did this tour through Princess and if I remember correctly, it is a ways from the pier. Not so sure that a taxi would work or save you any money.

Rare LittleMissMagic Posted November 20, 2011 #6 Share Posted November 20, 2011 The website also has $46 student and child rates. Do you know if this price is available through the cruiseline?
kev0417 Posted November 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2011 The price is definitely worth it. I booked through the cruise which was $99 if I remember correctly, but it was worth not having to deal with a cab to get there and back. The tram ride is 90 minutes plus if you do the rainforest walk(half an hour) or the ziplining, it will add time to it. The shuttle guy was there when we got back and then took us through the botanical garden for a little tour as well. Not sure if I saw any cabs on the way up there or back, but not sure how much you would save by using one versus just booking through the line. It was about half an hour or so through winding roads to get up to the tram starting point. I guess cabs will go but not sure about prices and how it will work on them getting back up there to pick you up once you are done. It definitely is off the beaten path, but a great experience and great scenery.
