Alaska Coastal Expedition (Celebrity)

This is the description from the Celebrity website

(I'm curious if any CC contributors have been on this trip, it is quite appealing, however I'd like some feedback, we're in Ketchikan on 20th September)

Skipper a custom inflatable boat through the remote backcountry of Southeast Alaska!

Take a short escorted walk to the base station, where you will be outfitted in top-of-the-line gear, including wool socks, rain gear, boots, gloves, face masks, hats and safety glasses. After a safety video you'll board a custom built inflatable boat and take off on an adventure of a lifetime. Following your guide, you'll visit the harbor at Saxman Native Village to view totem poles. You'll head out to Nichols Passage to search for whales, porpoises, seals and other marine life, then cruise around Mountain Point and head deep into George Inlet and explore hidden coves and inlets, always keeping an eye out for the abundant wildlife that thrives here. Take a short break at a rustic wilderness camp where a hot beverage and snack are provided before heading back out into the wild. Upon your return to town, savor another hot beverage or one complimentary glass of wine or a cold beer whilst dressing down and talking about your adventure

I did not take this exact tour, but know the company used - Ketchikan Outdoors - google it to see videos/photos and read more descriptions of this and other excursions that they offer. We did their "Romantic Alaska" excursion last year and had a ball! (Click on the description of Romantic Alaska and that is a photo of DH and I from last year!) We loved Capt. Tab and his lovely wife who were oh so helpful answering all my questions, and just gave us a great day on Blank Island off the coast of Ketchikan. With a tent, campfire, Alaskan picnic lunch, outfitted in raingear and spending the whole day beach combing, and exploring the island - it was darn near perfect! I just read a review of the zodiac excursion from this year, and the poster really enjoyed it.
