Kennedy Space Center any ideas

We took a cab from the port and toured Kennedy Space Center on our own. We had the phone number of the cab company and called them once we pulled into port from our cell phone(which was our cell phone provider not cellular at sea at that point). But once we were off the ship there were plenty of cabs for hire there anyway. It's not a far drive and as long as you keep track of the time you shouldn't have any problems.

Did you feel you saved $$ considering the cost of the excursion through the ship? Did you purchase your ticket online or buy it when you got there? Were the lines long when purchasing the ticket and did you have to pay to park and where did you return the rental car to? Sorry so many questions but I just do not seem to be getting answers from the board. Thanks for your suggestion.

What is the cost of the excursion?

I have been to the space center a few times, but it was in my own car. (my parents lived 20 minutes north for 15 years)

It is very close to Port Canaveral.

It has never been crowded in the times I visited. (it is not a main attraction like Disney is.)

Never waited more than 5 minutes to get a ticket.

From looking online, it looks like a ticket is $43 pp.....

Here is a link to the various tours and prices at the Space Center you can get on your own.

I can try and help, but needless to say, I have never bothered looking into the Carnival excursion, as I could do it anytime I was visiting the folks.
