Monkeys or Rum

Going to Barbados for the first time and we are not sure what to do. We have narrowed it down to either going on a tour to see monkeys or to go on a rum tour. Both tours we found are private as i don't want to be on big bus type tour, and both tours take us shopping and to a beach afterwards. Anyone done the monkey or rum tours? Which is the better choice?

Do the monkeys -if only because you'll get to see half the island, in the process. ;)

 

Here they are, scampering across my neighbour's roof in suburban Bridgetown!!

 

 

 

Rum tour is OK too,

but it won't get you ventured very far from the port.

 

 

If you haven't visited Barbados before

the easiest first-timers thing is an island-tour of some sort

to get a general feel for the place.

Same advice for any island you're visiting for the first time, btw..

thanks for the advice. now im questioning if the snorkel trips with the turtles is the best route for Barbados. Any advice?
