RedbirdFL Posted September 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2011 We're looking at booking a cruise on the Legend and would like to get an oceanview room, but it looks like the only deck with oceanview rooms is Riviera. I'm worried because it is below the casino. Has anyone stayed in a room on the Legend on Riviera? How was the noise factor?
pontiac1977 Posted September 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2011 I was on the legend three times. We always booked OV balcony 7A.These rooms really are not to expensive. But back to your question. If you look at a site like Cruises Only, you can do a test booking.I was just there ,and there are window cabins also on the main deck, three decks up from the riveara. If you don't want to be under the casino, just find a cabin either forward or aft. The casino is in the middle. What ever you do, I think you will like the Legend. Its not to big and not to small, and Tampa is a pretty good port. moppy459 Posted September 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2011 The rooms on the Legend are very sound proof. My husband had his MP3 cranked up pretty loud and when we shut the outside door, we couldn't even hear it!! The Legend is an awesome ship!!! FlaGrl4Evr Posted September 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Please don't flame me for saying this as this was just a simple observation from our last cruise on the Legend. OP, the Riveria deck rooms looked just fine, we has a few Roll Call friends that had rooms there and were very happy. The one observation that I did notice was on an excursioin day, that was a tender port, we all met in the theatre and the Carnival leader led our very large group down past the cabins on the Riveria deck. At this point of the morning, most of the Riveria cabin doors were wide-open in preperation for cleaning. Just be vigilant in keeping your personal possesions locked up in the safe or hidden out of view. It would have been way too easy for a dishonest person to slip out of line and grab something in clear sight, a camara, cash, etc....... This can happen to anyone on any deck but since this was the path we took as a large group, I thought it was worth mentioning.
skrufy Posted September 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted September 14, 2011 DW and I have sailed 6 times with Riviera ov, front , middle, and to the back of the ship. Never a noise problem. Sailed Legend a year ago, had a cabin up front, very quiet. As for the Legend, the ship and crew ranks #1 with us.
