Blossom3 Posted September 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Hi, we have a 1A balcony cabin on our Solstice cruise, will there be a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room? Thanks
reilly1 Posted September 14, 2011 #2 Share Posted September 14, 2011 As far as I know, there will only be tea/coffee making facilities in cabins when ships are sailing out of a UK port. They know we can't live without endless cups of tea! We sailed on Eclipse out of Southampton in July and had these facilities. It was great being able to make a cup of tea first thing in the morning. If they aren't there, you can always order from room service. Colleen
Esprit Posted September 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 14, 2011 We were on Solstice three weeks ago and there were no tea making facilities in the cabin. I think only ships sailing out of the UK will get them. Peter
bessinfl Posted September 14, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 14, 2011 If you're on the Eclipse (which has those electric kettles when it's based in Southampton), but you're sailing out of Miami, can you ask your steward to bring you an electric kettle for the week? My experience with room-service tea is that the water always comes in those insulated pots that taste of coffee, so the tea is spoiled.
Blossom3 Posted September 14, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted September 14, 2011 Oh that's a shame, we are sailing out of Barcelona, was really hoping to be able to make our own tea. Thanks for all your replies
