dining times on Rhapsody 06/12/11

I was wondering if anyone knows how to change our dinner time of 8.30

we are travelling with friends and when i booked through our local TA the time was already picked.This is only our 2nd cruise and last cruise i booked on line in 2008 and i got to pick our time.When i contacted the TA about it she said the earlier time must be gone and we would have to talk to some one on the ship. Is this the way it is done?????
