nparmelee Posted September 23, 2011 #3 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Yes they do, go to http://www.trenitalia.com, click the English link at the top to see the results in English. Enter Civitavecchia in the From and Roma Termini (assuming that is where you want to go) in the To and select 25/09/11 for the date (this Sunday) to get an idea of the schedule and pricing. Mines Posted September 23, 2011 #4 Share Posted September 23, 2011 Highly recommended. Be prepared to stand on the way into Rome, but easier on the way back. You can get off at Termini or St. Peters. Take the free port shuttle to the gates and walk along the shore road until you hit the station - it is about a mile.

You can get off at Termini or St. Peters. Most visitors to Rome have no need to go through the hassle at Termini; you can reach most sites faster and easier using one of the other stations in Rome. See this link for a detailed list of how to use the train from Civitavecchia to get to the key sites in Rome: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1237189&highlight=how+key+sites+rome+train

Rare CTCruisers Posted September 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted September 23, 2011 The Ron in Rome website has a great page on explaining how to get to Rome from the port: roninrome.com/transportation/cruising-come-to-rome-for-the-day-2 We used his instructions last year and it was a breeze. The Civitavecchia train station is a short walk from the entrance to the cruise port.
