Are there video poker machines on Carnival Spirit? Going in December. Am an avid VP player. If you know how the paytables look, that would help, also.

As a VP player also, I'll tell you two things: First, there will be VP on your ship. Second, the paytables will be terrible.

 

Although I haven't cruised Carnival in a while, I can give you first hand recent experience from NCL. Paytables on all of NCL's ships are the same, and range from 92 to 94% payback.

 

NCL's "high limit" machines don't even offer 9/6 JOB. 8/5 is about the best you can find, and that's on a $5 machine!

 

So don't go expecting great payback. Just play for the fun of it, with money you can afford to loose.

Played .25 ddb on the Fascination this summer and the paytable was 6/5 (94.66%). But we have to get our vp fix so we play it anyway and hope to get lucky, which I did. Hit 4 aces (no kicker) within the first 10 min of playing. Played with the ships money the whole trip and brought $130 of it back.
