Only 3 h for embarkation???

I leave on Thursday with the Orcherstra from Genoa, and checking my tickets I was quite surprised that the ship is leaving at 6 PM and the embarkation time is set to 3 PM? Isn't it quite short-termed? Or is it possible to get earlier on the ship?

Hi Phil - from my understanding they embark passengers at each port which reduces the amount of passengers on and off the ship - you can turn up early and they may let you on early :) I'm planning on doing this in New York as we will have our cases with us from 11am and we have a 5pm time for embarkation. From my understanding there is no guarantee that you will get on early but once all disembarking passenger are cleared then the process to let new passengers on will commence.
