ES Question

If I booked Early Saver rates and the Taxes and Fees went up on my cruise, would I have to pay the increase? When I did a sample booking to see if the price went down, I noticed the tax and fees went up. I checked my booking and they did not change there.

I always thought we were locked in at the rate we paid when we first booked, but if they come down then we'd get a refund onboard~:confused: Because I have never had to pay more than what I originally booked. Anybody?

I know I always read about room rates, but not taxes and fees.

The only fee I worry about is the fuel surcharge which they state they have no plans to charge at this time.

My TA told me that Carnival COULD charge me once onboard on my S&S card. I had a price drop and the TA took out the difference the taxes and fees went up :(

 

so I paid it .. thanks to my TA. I didnt use that TA again.

Twice we have sailed and the taxes and fees went up. Was never charged the increase. Thought that I might be since used ES and was able to get some credits.

 

On the other hand, I have received OBC's twice before due to taxes and fees being reduced.

 

The thing is...Carnival can charge you the increase but I have not seen it happen.
