at a later time (before final payment) can you switch. There have been a few times that I have seen senior rate, etc. a little lower. Also, on ES if you add someone later and need to move rooms around do they charge a fee for that:confused:

You can get the discount on any rate you are eligible for. We always book ES but are eligible for Military and past guest rates so I always watch those, just to be sure :D

You can get the lower rate for anything you're eligible for - senior, resident rate, past passenger, military, teacher, zookeeper if they offered it. You can change cabins (upgrade), too, as an alternative to getting a refund on the rate, as long as the new rate is the same or lower than your original booking.

But NO NAME CHANGES ALLOWED with ES - you have to cancel and re-book (and pay a $50 fee). Same with just changing cabins because you feel like it, you'll have to pay that fee. If you cancel and don't rebook, you lose your deposit - remember it's non-refundable with ES.

You can price match to any other rate you qualify for, but cant switch out of ES. Once ES you are stuck with ES.

you mean if you qualify for senior or military, you can get that price reduction but you don't switch to that category?? i was under the understanding from my pvp that if we switch to military it would take us out of ES and we would no longer have the guaranteed price match option.... so she said to wait until right before sailing to switch....

ES allows you to match any rate you qualify for (except Guaranteed) in a like category. You don't drop out of ES - you're just price matching another rate not rebooking under a different rate. That is my understanding - but I don't qualify for military rates and haven't looked into it, so if there is something different there someone will correct me.

Correct. The PVP was wrong.

You may get the price drop for any rate you qualify for up to 2 business days before sail date.

Don't wait until right before sailing to check rates. They can change daily.

I wonder who your PVP is that's giving you incorrect information.

Once booked ES you stay under that promo no matter what. If you qualify for military submit the price protection form and the rates will be adjusted down to match. If you wait and the rates go up you will not get the rate reduction.

You can submit this form as many times as you find a lower price for something you qualify for. If next week past guest is lower you can submit it again and the week after military is lower submit it again.

You better submit that form right away before the rates go up or go away.

Its probably a misunderstanding, not that a PVP did not know you cant switch out of ES. Surely any PVP would understand the basic concept, once ES always ES. Otherwise If I wanted to cancel before final payment, I would just switch to another rate that had a refundable deposit .. and then cancel so I could get my deposit back.
