miraclemet Posted April 27, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2004 So on the celebrity site it lists our room (8146 on the panorama deck) as having "one upper berth." Being a novice what does that mean? The room description says it has "two convertable lower beds" but the "one upper berth" is confusing to this novice. Also anyone else stayed in this room? tuggers Posted April 27, 2004 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Haven't stayed in that exact room but have stayed in others with that configuration. What you will see is a white twin bed sized protrusion about 8 inches thick on the side of the wall ala Murphy bed. When it is used the cabin steward pulls it down at night, makes it up and attaches a little ladder like for a bunk bed. After the first day you won't pay any attention to it. Until the Zenith! Rare geoherb Posted April 27, 2004 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2004 One upper berth means there's a single bed that can be made if necessary so that your cabin could sleep three. If you don't need the space to sleep three, the bed will stay against the wall or ceiling and not really get in your way.
Chick's pal Posted April 27, 2004 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2004 Sometimes the upper bed "disappears" into the ceiling, rather than being folded up against the wall.

dougnewmanatsea Posted April 27, 2004 #6 Share Posted April 27, 2004 On INFINITY, it should be the type that folds into the ceiling. Aside from little rubber stoppers on the wall behind, it should be almost entirely invisible.
