scumbers Posted October 3, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 3, 2011 Hiya we are sooooo looking forward to our cruise on the ruby princess in february. we will be having the 2nd sitting of an evening and was wondering what entertainment will be available to us after the meal i.e. what shows, musicals, bands etc are still available. i know there is the casino and muts but wasnt sure if we would miss much being 2nd sitting. We wont be able to watch shows etc before dinner as we always watch sun go down etc and getting ready for meal. thanks for help :)
caribill Posted October 4, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 4, 2011 There will be multiple opportunities for entertainment after your 2nd seating dinner. Most nights there will be a show or entertainer in the Princess Theater starting about 10:15 or 10:30. (On some evenings, this will be scheduled before dinner at about 7:00 because of other after dinner activities such as a deck party.) There will be an entertainer in the Explorers Lounge with the show starting about the same time as the Princess Theater entertainment. There will be a band playing in the Wheelhouse Bar. There will be a paino player/singer in the Crooners' Lounge. There will be a movie (or sports) on MUTS up near one of the pools. There will activities in Club Fusion such as Karaoke or a country music night. Possibly also some passenger games there, but these might be while you are eating dinner. There will likely be a piano player in the Adagio Lounge. A DJ will be playing music in Skywalkers.
shopperwhite Posted October 4, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 4, 2011 i found that 2nd seating dinner never finished in time to get a seat in the princess theatre especially since you are often at the opposite end of the ship.

If you do not linger to talk with your dinner companions, there should be no problem making the show. Production shows tend to be more crowded than entertainers (singers, comedy, piano players, etc.)

George C Posted October 5, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 5, 2011 We stopped taking Princess because we were not able to find a seat for most shows after dinner ( 2nd seating ). You should be able to have coffee and desert and still get a seat for a show.
