Nope, I think the MCA are just doing their job. We'd be the first to moan if something happened and it was found that MCA overlooked safety issues with the vessel.

 

It's not just cruise ships they detain either..

Scroz ... I agree with what you say but it only seems to be a recent thing with cruise ships!

Does seem to be more than normal I agree.

 

The cynic in me thinks that maybe corners are being cut on hygiene or safety or even both in order to keep costs down and the mca are picking them up on it.

 

Hope to be proved wrong, but you never know.
