Crib for a 2 1/2 year old on Carnival Splendor

Carnival says we have to wait till we get aboard to request a crib. What are the chances or should we bring a PnP. We are flying but don't want to be without a crib.

The cruiseline will provide either a P&P or crib...no need to bring your own.

Why would you have to wait? I request mine when I make the reservation. This way it is in the room and set up when we get there. I would call and speak to someone in customer service. If you do not get a satisfactory answer ask to speak to their supervisor.

Also, I would bring your own sheet/bedding. We did not, and when we asked about it (for our then 10 month old) they tried to put an adult size flat sheet on the pnp mattress. We are advocates of safe sleep and were not comfortable with that, so bought a pnp sheet on our first port day. They also came up with a fleece type blanket with the Tasmanian devil on it. We think our steward ran into port and bought the closest thing he could find to a baby blanket. Although we did not use it, we thought it was a very kind gesture and tipped accordingly:)

Carnival said they don't confirm cribs for children over 2 years of age. We have to wait till we board

When are you sailing? The policy makes sense since the younger ones would need a crib more. Unless you are going spring break I would think you would be fine.
