transportation from Brooklyn terminal

We are looking at a transatlantic cruise on Princess. It starts in London and ends in Brooklyn. We live in upstate NY (Binghamton). We are looking at flying out of Binghamton to London and so are trying to figure out how to get home from NY. We could cab to port authority and take a bus (not my first choice), we called a limo company locally - $500 ugh. So we'd love any other suggestions you might have, or would love to hear from anyone who has done this. Can you rent a car at the Brooklyn terminal? Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions.

the closest Avis and Hertz are right across from one another at Atlantic Avenue and Court Street but drop off charges will be a lot....There is enterprise too but they really don't like one way rentals...

You either take a cab to the hertz or avis lots but I know they sometimes come and get you....

doesn't jet blue fly to Rochester is that an option? its only 140 miles....

Continental has flights from Newark to Wilkes Barre/Scranton Airport. You can arrange for a car service to take you from the Brooklyn port to EWR, which should cost about $75-85 plus tolls and tip. Alternatively, I believe Princess offers a bus transfer from the pier to EWR, but I don't know what it might cost. It shouldn't be too expensive to get a car service to take you from Scranton to Binghamton...they're about an hour apart.

Or...you can fly Jet Blue from JFK to Syracuse (which is closer to you than Rochester). Car service should be about $50 to 60 plus tip (no toll).
