jtdlmc Posted October 13, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 13, 2011 Is there a list somewhere that defines all the stateroom categories? For instance, what is the difference between an 8A and an 8C, etc?
Red-Headed Grandma Posted October 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 13, 2011 The difference between an 8A and an 8C is their location on the ship. Go onto Carnival's website and pull up the deck plan for the ship you are considering. It will show you where the different categories are located. serene56 Posted October 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 13, 2011 Insides are 4 Oceanview are 6 Balconies are 8. (mostly) then suites and 9 the letter denotes location. The higher the letter the more it costs because the location is a better place.

The doors open for fresh air, but no balcony. 7A - Obstructed view balcony - The tenders/lifeboats might partially block the view. Most of the tops of the lifeboats are level with the floor of the balcony.
