Hi ,

We've got our New Zealand cruise coming up and we'll be visiting lots of Vineyards for wine tasting - we love NZ sauv blanc . Does anybody know what Celebrities policy in on buying wines at wineries during a cruise and bringing them on board to drink ?

Has anyone done this ?

Do they charge corkage ?

Celebrity allows you to bring 2 bottles of wine on board per Stateroom at embarkation, but not in ports of call. For the 2 you bring on, you can enjoy in your room free, or if you take the wine bottle to dinner, you can be charged $25 for corkage.

If you bring on wines at other ports or more than the allowed 2, they are normally taken from you, stored and returned the night before you disembark. So you can buy those nice wines and to take back home, but not to enjoy onboard.

With that said, many (including me) have reported that we have brought on wines at various ports and they haven't been taken, and you take them to your SR. But that is not what is the guidelines and you shouldn't plan on it.

enjoy your cruise!
