Casino credit question

Hi all

We are going on the Pride on Sunday. I had emailed the Players club with no response. So I called the Player's club and I got told that I had 125.00 in casino credit and hubby has 75.00 . They said we would get coupons or something in the mail. That was a week ago and no mail yet. If it is there can I access it without whatever it is they are sending me? If I just go to casino cage can they "activate" it?

They also told me that since I was getting the cash I wasn't eligible for any packages (like chocolate covered cherries or champagne)...I am not complaining because I think it is wonderful that we get anything..just thought I would mention.

Have never heard of a coupon for the cash. The cash is always waiting for us at the cashier's cage in the casino - we pick it up the first night. I would call back and ask for an e-mail to be sent to you confirming the amount you are getting. Bring it with you to show the cashier, in case you are not on "the list." (which happened to us once - luckily I had the e-mail)

My husband received a voucher for 75.00 in the mail, I called for myself and they emailed me a 25.00 voucher, turn it in at casino cage for chips...I also called and they told me I will be getting two deluxe gift baskets, however we changed it to one premium and extra drink coupons, who needs two fruit baskets lol

CPC does indeed send out coupons. I got one shortly after I booked our February 2012 Dream cruise. CPC sent me a $75 coupon that I have to take with me and present it to the casino on board and they in turn will put that amount on my S&S card. What a deal!

Oh, and they also said we would be getting a premium package and that it would be waiting for us in our cabin when we board.

Last month when I took my coupon to the cashier, they did not put it on my card, just handed me the cash

Found out that I am not eligible for a coupon because I am considered a high roller due to the # of points I get on each cruise. I am not complaining, as I got a great casino vip rate on my past Aug. Miracle cruise, along with a couple of hundred dollars casino cash. Unfortunately, I can't make the vip cruise on Valor in Jan. - they upped my cash by a couple of hundred dollars more! Will see what they do for me when it gets closer to my Dec. cruise.

Thank you all for the replies (and the name of a contact:) I did receive my coupon for casino cash today. I am thinking I may call again to ask if I am eligible for a package...I feel greedy calling again..lol..but maybe the person I spoke to didn't know?

Thank you everyone. I received two coupons in the mail, one for $75 and one for $100. I did not think I played that much on my two cruises last year but apparently it was enough.

I called yesterday and was told I will receive a premium package. I did feel weird calling but I had a good reason - I am diabetic and was going to order a fruit basket if I was not going to receive one. While there is always food available, it's not always what I need. Sounds like I will have a bottle of wine to give away. :-)

Thanks for Michaels contact info. I had spoken with him and he said we have cash waiting for us. I will request an email to take with me to the cage.

How close to your cruise did you call? We sail mid December. Is now too early?

Hi

Never heard back so I leave tomorrow; I called probably 2-3 weeks ago the first time; probably not too early for a call to them.

  • 2 months later...
We sail next week and I called today. Husband gets $150 cash and I get the standard gift package. Last month we sailed and only my husband got $125 cash, I got nothing. We play 3 card poker and ask to be rated. It works!

how do you get cash and/or a gift basket? Does Carnival monitor your spending or do you have to request them to do so? Hubby and I play slots so just curious. Thanks!!

I never got a coupon, just an email and cash at the cage.

FYI - this works across different lines. Ocean Player's Club handles Princess too, so if you happen to have sailed on one or the other, you can mention that in your email to them.

I am kind of preferring RCI these days, but let me tell you - thus far RCI's casino host has not been nearly as friendly as Carnival/Princess.

how do you know if you have any casino credit? how much play to warrant a bonus?

I have no clue how they determine it. What I do is send an email to the Ocean Player's Club to find out if there is anything they can do for me. I will list the previous cruises I was on and that I spent time in the casinos. They will email back within a few days and say 'welcome back' and tell you if they did anything for you.

I get Room, Food, and Beverage in Vegas but I can't even get a free drink in the Carnival casinos. Oh well, different venue different perks.

Have you tried emailing Ocean Player's Club? I only got cash after I emailed them. You have to initiate the contact with them. Even then, it will either be some kind of treat in the room, or some cash in the casino.
