bigedwin Posted October 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Hi We will be sailing on the Freedom of the Seas this December. When are reservations open for character breakfast? Can they be booked online? Are they under entertainment or specialty dinning? Or do they have to be done on board ? Also is there a $$ charge for this or is it a free activity? Thanks Big Ed
mlfallis Posted October 19, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 19, 2011 I was able to book my ones for Liberty online, not sure how far in advance they were available, I did mine about 60 days out. No fee and they were under speciality dinning. I was also able to book for both days no problem. It was available both our sea days. HTH

Thanks Big Ed Interesting question re: Character Breakfast. We'll be sailing on the Freedom in less than 3 weeks, and while I've been checking every day, they have not posted those breakfasts online for "pre-reservations". I called RCL on Monday, and they said that "it appears" (their euphamism, not mine) that RCL didn't bother to open up reservations online for our cruise, and that we'll have to see the appropriate person/people when we first board. Michael Edited to add -- NO Charge, definitely free.
bigedwin Posted October 19, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted October 19, 2011 Thanks for the information! So in summary! Reservations Might open up within 60 days of sailing and if available they will be free and available under specialty dining! If reservations do not open online we might have to deal with it on board! Now question How do we know which characters will be on each offering? Do we know in advance or will it be a surprise? Thanks again for info!

Thanks Big Ed You've gotten pretty much all the right answers. I went through this on Monday. We are cruising December 11. On-line reservations have not been made available (and probably won't but keep checking just in case). Book as soon as you board in the Main Dining Room. It is free of charge...well you already paid for it with the cruise. The breakfast is supposedly only on sea days so for my cruise it will only be 2.
