Seattle Hotel near Amtrak Cascades Station and Downtown Sites

We were just at the Pioneer Square Marriott Courtyard this weekend. I believe its about 4 blocks from the Amtrak station. It was nice and I can see staying there again. We're walkers although it's located within the free ride zone for the bus. The hotel is several blocks from the core downtown area. The Seattle Center/Space Needle is about 1.5 miles north.

Silver Cloud Stadium - quality Pacific NW chain; the hotel is across the street from Safeco Field (Mariners) and a couple of long blocks from the train station. They also have a van for free local shuttle services. http://www.silvercloud.com/seattlestadium/

Best Western Pioneer Square - http://www.pioneersquare.com/ About 3 blocks from the station.

Any hotel in downtown Seattle will be $10 or less by cab from the station.

Thank you to the OP for starting this thread!

We are planning to take the Amtrak train from YVR to SEA on Sat., May 5, 2012. Will be flying home on Mon. am. At first, we were planning to book a hotel at the airport but then read it would take about 40 minutes to reach downtown to sight see. :(

We have since rethought and will stay somewhere downtown and just take a towncar/taxi to the airport Mon. am. :D

any downtown Seattle hotel will be less than one mile or so from Amtrak. For specific info look on Tripadvisor.com for Seattle forum. On top right read where to stay in Seattle and how to Get to "Vancouver for a cruise.

It will help you a lot.
