G&TQ Posted October 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I am thinking of booking a cabin with ES rates but I am not sure who might be going with me. Can I book it and list it to be determined later? I was on hold with carnaval for 20 min and gave up. thought you guys might know. Not sure if my mom or a friend will go. Hey I might make it my first solo.:D
firefly333 Posted October 20, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I would book it solo and add the other name later. ES allows no name changes. I would not use TBA for a 2nd pax. Pay one deposit and they will charge the 200% rate and its easy to add a 2nd pax later on.
doconner Posted October 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2011 On my recent cruise we booked a person into a cabin as a solo on Early Saver and paid the 200% rate. We were able to later add a second person into that cabin with no additional cost or fees. This may be an avenue to explore and ask if this is standard procedure. 5waldos Posted October 20, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2011 I think you can. We did. Paid the deposit only on the named 2 passengers and listed the other two as TBA or TBD or whatever it is. I don't know how long you can do that for- we did it for a couple of weeks.

Duane-O You do pay the little bit of additional add on fees and taxes for the 2nd pax. Solo booking you only pay one add on taxes and fees. one deposit.
