CruisingMouse Posted October 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Anyone know how much the one day transportation pass is? Also where can this be purchased docking in King's wharf? Any suggestions on what to do at night close to the ship seeing that ship entertainment will be limited and casino closed? Thanks
Host Caroline Posted October 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 21, 2011 Can't remember how much one day pass is; I know a token from Dockyard to Hamilton was $4.00.. ticket kiosk is right near where ship is docked- you can't miss it. Frog and Onion (?- not sure if that's the right name) and the other pub are open late, I'm assuming as long as ships are docked. They had full schedule of activities on Summit in evening while we were docked, just casino out of action
njhorseman Posted October 21, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 21, 2011 The one day unlimited transportation pass costs $12. I've found the amount of entertainment on board is more than adequate (the strict limits that Bermuda used to impose were lifted years ago), and probably more than you'll find on shore. Yes anytime I have had an extended stay in a port, ship activites went on full power, I was just going by an earlier post by someone else that said it was all limited. They had even opened the casino up after dinner hour!
njhorseman Posted October 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Thanks! They had even opened the casino up after dinner hour! I know it's been said already, but the casino is closed at all times in Bermuda. I'm not sure where else you had an extended stay in port, but the only place I can recall that allowed the casinos to open at night was the Bahamas. Maybe there are others, but I haven't been to those places.
ragtiki2004 Posted October 22, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2011 That is correct, the casino is closed while the ship is docked in Bermuda. Bob
CruisingMouse Posted October 22, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted October 22, 2011 Yes I understand that! It wouldn't have been Nassau that it was open, as I wouldn't have cared on those cruises as the Atlantis is right there, and I have never been on a cruise that had an extended stay in Nassau thank goodness. Just can't remember which one it happened on, but I know it did as I remember talking to other quests about the fact it would not be open as long as we were in port and they had come back later to tell me that they did open it up. I was trying to find something else to do at night in Bermuda as it is November and I haven't been able to find any special events or festivals going on. Have already done the sunset cruises etc. But I'm also find to hang on the ship with their entertainment as I can't seeing that being all shut down as a previous poster had said.
