Best place to see sea turtles in St. John?

I'm wondering which area would be our best bet to sight a sea turtle or two? Thinking about renting a dinghy in Cruz Bay if that would increase our chances of spotting one. We'll be there next June.

I've been to SJ a couple of times. The most dependable turtle places were Francis Bay (you can take a Taxi there). Turtles were out near the center of the bay. Best coral out near the point to the right.

 

The other place that is good for Turtles is Waterlemon Cay. You could get there with a Dinghy.

 

Brown Bay is a great place to go for Turtles too. But you couldn't get there from a cruise.

You have to go out in the turtle grass zone to see turtles- Hawksnest, Cinnamon, Trunk, Maho/Francis all have turtles out in the middle of the bay. Sit quietly in your dinghy and watch for them to come up and breathe.
