mistybaby Posted October 22, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2011 We just booked 10504 on the gem but am curious what is the difference (aside from deck number) between that cabin and 9504
ebw Posted October 22, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 22, 2011 10504 bc that's what I booked at dw's insistence.
bakerintn Posted October 22, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 22, 2011 10504 is larger, I believe. Check this site and see the two decks side by side. http://www.cruisedeckplans.com/DP/Main/dragit2.php?ship=Norwegian%20Gem
SuiteCruiser Posted October 22, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 22, 2011 The deck 10 suite have larger balconies in the front.
rvsullivan Posted October 22, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 22, 2011 10504 and 9504 are the same size as far as the cabin goes. The deck on 10 is much larger. That's it.
icecreammama Posted October 22, 2011 #6 Share Posted October 22, 2011 I am also booked in 10504. My PCC told me the OS on deck 10 are bigger and the dining room table is situated in a rotunda alcove. He said 10504 was the best OS. I am sailing on the Gem and he said He had sailed on the Jewel and stayed in 10504 and they are identical. He loved it. SuiteCruiser Posted October 23, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2011 I'm in 9504 Jan 1st, so I'll let you know :) I think either way it will be fantastic!
suzequ Posted October 23, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 23, 2011 The only big difference I see (comparing pictures of 9504 to experience in 10504) is slightly more room in 10's living room because the dining area is in an alcove. :)
InsidePassenger Posted October 23, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 23, 2011 Here is a link to a video of 9504 on the Gem: And a link to 10504 on the Jade... should be very similar to 10504 on the Gem.

Fishbait17 Posted October 23, 2011 #12 Share Posted October 23, 2011 I am also booked in 10504. My PCC told me the OS on deck 10 are bigger and the dining room table is situated in a rotunda alcove. He said 10504 was the best OS. I am sailing on the Gem and he said He had sailed on the Jewel and stayed in 10504 and they are identical. He loved it. I have sailed in both and it's really a toss up. Deck 10 balconies are less private than deck 9. Deck 10 has the dining alcove and a larger living space and one extra window, but deck 9 has a far better bar area, and feels more spacious and less broken up. Can't go wrong with either. mw4357 Posted October 23, 2011 #13 Share Posted October 23, 2011 I'm sailing on the Gem 10504 in two weeks, will make a short video and post pictures when I return. Was on Jewel 9504 OS in march and loved it, will compare to each other.
darrengs Posted November 17, 2011 #14 Share Posted November 17, 2011 I was in 9504 last week and I was able to check out 10504. IMO 10504 is better with its separate dining nook and the overall layout makes it larger.
mw4357 Posted November 17, 2011 #15 Share Posted November 17, 2011 Hey Darren, Nice seeing you on the cruise, our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet was great. Getting back to the room, I just returned from 10504 on the Gem having trouble getting the pics here but highly recommend 10th floor owners suites over 9th floor. The layout is much more "user friendly" and even though only slightly larger than 9 the overall feel is much bigger. The front balcony is slightly smaller but still extremely large. I also had the opportunity on our cabin crawl to visit the Deluxe Owners Suite and Garden Villa. Have to say the Garden Villa is ridicilous, anyone that ever gets the opportunity to get one of these rooms by all means you must do it. On the other hand was disappointed by the Deluxe Owners Suite, the location is great, overlooking the pool area and the balcony with jucuzzi is real nice too but the room is small and the setup is strange. Everyone on the cabin crawl said my room was the best by far (excluding the ridicilous GV of cousre) even the couple in the Deluxe Owners Suite. dexddd Posted November 18, 2011 #23 Share Posted November 18, 2011 We had the new couch in 9504 and my kids slept on it, I thought it was comfortable. Thanks. Was the picture to prove to the teacher the kids actually doing homework while out of school? Our DD had to do a daily journal one year when we took her out which she enjoyed. Some required internet access, so he was still working all day Sunday when we got back.
SuiteCruiser Posted November 19, 2011 #25 Share Posted November 19, 2011 Darren, hope you don't mind a couple of other questions. Is the fold-out a double or a queen? Is there a pocket door between the master and the living room, or is it just a curtain? Your help is most appreciated!
