firefly333 Posted October 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 26, 2011 35 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic and what day of the week you are landing. SAS shuttle is usually cheaper.
Rare marshalltp Posted October 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted October 26, 2011 FLL is a busy airport but luggage claim is efficient.......not like MIA.....the drive from FLL to POM is about 30-40 minutes
KenMo Posted October 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 26, 2011 A shuttle service will be a lot cheaper. We use www.ridesas.com
ibcnusoon Posted October 26, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 26, 2011 A shuttle service will be a lot cheaper. We use www.ridesas.com Yes, they are. I called ACE Tours and they will pick me up at my FLL hotel for $25. I hung up and called SAS and was quoted and received confirmation email for a price of $15 pp. Definately go with SAS! KenMo Posted October 26, 2011 #7 Share Posted October 26, 2011 I was wondering the cabe fare might be from fll to pom? Seems to me, last time I took a cab, it was around $80 + tip.
goingsailing Posted October 26, 2011 #8 Share Posted October 26, 2011 My daughter and I were there in Ft. Lauderdale in April and we took a cab to the port for somewhere around 4o bucks. I don't remember exactly but I didn't think that was too bad for the convenience of being picked up when we wanted and dropped of where we wanted. The ride, like others said, is around 30 minutes or so. Our flight also came in at 8:45 from San Fran.
nikimouse Posted October 26, 2011 #9 Share Posted October 26, 2011 Is there a shuttle service between miami airport and the port in fort lauderdale? I was gonna go on freedom of the seas but then changed to ncl pearl so that I could avoid taxi fare to port everglades, because I thought it would cost me $80 each way, if there is a shuttle for $15 I might reconsider. thanks! It seems as if you are naming the wrong ship. Freedom of the Seas is a Royal Caribbean ship that sales from Port Canaveral, near Orlando. Carnival Freedom leaves from Port Everglades (Ft Lauderdale). There are many other Carnival ships that leave from Miami, so why not pick one of them and you won't have to shuttle to Ft Lauderdale or even switch to NCL Pearl?
