scrozuk Posted October 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Hi, Just been told by the wife, who is on the Aurora at the moment, that their next scheduled stop in Oporto, has been cancelled due to rough seas off Portugal. Instead they will be stopping Malaga. A friend of hers who is currently on the Azura on their way back, is saying that it's a bit bad through bob, with 45knt winds. Looking at the oceanweather.com website, can see that the sea conditions off Portugal and down to the Straits of Gibraltar do look bad, but not as bad as the conditions off Canada. A nasty blob of red. ScrozUK
Brayman Posted October 27, 2011 #2 Share Posted October 27, 2011 I noticed Ocaena was due to call in at Oporto a couple of days ago but did a circle outside and decided against, they had a slow trip back to Southampton as a result.

Still, could be worse, they could have been diverted to Vigo instead.. ScrozUK
jeanlyon Posted October 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Ha ha - I hate Vigo too. Think I would rather be at sea :-)
macro duck Posted October 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted October 27, 2011 Arcadia also gave Oporto a miss and called in Cadiz instead.
