Wedding anniversary is 11-11-11

Our 17th wedding anniversary is coming up on 11-11-11. We are cruising the next week on the Liberty. Is there any fun way to celebrate on our cruise (other than the obvious :) )) Do they still do the newlywed game or something fun that might be great for us to try to get in to? Are contestents really chosen at random or would we try to give the CD a heads up?

They do the marriage game. Let the CD know and he/she might call you to the stage. How many years? They usually ask for newlyweds, longest married too. Congrats!

Seems like the middle couple is the one closest to 25 years or they pick some number and sometimes whoever is closest gets picked. Sometimes they also have the closest ones stand up and whomever is the most loud and cheering and acting silly gets picked.

 

I would be upset to find out it was rigged and if you went to the CD ahead of time and arranged it, he would pick you.

A lot of them are rigged. I talked to a kid about 10 who was chosen in advance to be a magician's helper and a couple picked for the marriage game. While you're watching it begins to feel funny and it dawns on you it's a set up.
