Air Berlin?

Feedback on Air Berlin. Decent?

 

Looking at traveling from Venice to JFK. One flight has change of planes for the JFK flight in Duesseldorf other in Berlin. For both only have one hour between flight from VCE to JFK. Would one airport be better than the other? Is that too short of time in both places?

The Berlin airport is TXL. Although just realized that that's on goes VCE-DUS-TXL-JFK with hour in both DUS and TXL. Wouldn't be best choice so perhaps only need to know if 1hr is enough time in DUS to change planes for the Air Berlin/NY flight.

DUS is a small airport. If your plane from Venice lands on time, you won't have a problem. In the past two months, 70% of Air Berlin's flight 8863 landed on-time.
