A few questions about 4 day Majesty cruise

I've been on Majesty twice, but the last time was about 2 years ago, so I think a few things have changed. I did some searching on the boards--I haven't been here in a while, so it's great to be back!--and still have a few questions.

1. Is there a special embarkation area for platinum members in Miami? I am violating all rules of cruising by coming in the day of the cruise (I know, I know!), but get in to MIA around 10, so expect to be at the port by 11 at the latest.

2. Can you still choose to disembark early and carry off your own bags when we return to Miami? Is there a special area for C&A?

3. I haven't cruised under the "new" C&A benefits. I'm only platinum, so I don't think it makes a big difference. Are there still coupons for internet access, and other discounts? Anyone happen to know what the current coupons are?

4. Does anyone know what the special spa offers are for the when we're in Nassau?

5. Last time I went to Coco Cay, the cabanas and clamshells were free, but I understand now that you can reserve them, and they come with a separate buffet, water, and a few other things. Has anyone done that?

Any thoughts would be great. I love the Majesty, so I can't wait to see her in 2 months. Thanks!

Hello. I just came off a 3 day on the Majesty this past weekend, so I'll try and help you here:

1. Yes there is a priority check in line for Platinum and above.

2. Yes and Yes. The Starlight Dining Room is used for C&A Platinum and above for the early disembarkation.

3. Yes you still get a coupon book, yes there are internet discount coupons. There is also a bogo bar drink coupon, bar drink 10% off coupon, bogo coupon for coffee drinks, jewlery discounts, gift shop discount coupon, Johnny Rockets milkshake discount, and a few others I can't remember off the top of my head.

4. Sorry, can't help you on this one.

5. You have heard correctly on this. There is an area set up with different cabanas that you rent for the day which also includes a specially catered lunch, beverages, and you get a floating water mat free (whooopeee!).

The Majesty is in great shape for her age and the crew keeps here extremely clean. Just keep in mind that this time of year your stop at Coco Cay will be a crapshoot as to wether or not you get to go ashore (we did not last weekend due to high sea swells making tendering unsafe). So if nothing else enjoy the ship and the rest of the stops on your itinerary! Have fun!

Is this something you reserve as an excursion? Or is it first come first serve?

Thanks...we leave in one week! :D

I looked online and didn't see anything, but someone said you can (should) get it at the Excursions desk as soon as you board in Miami. Please let me know what you find out---specifically, what kind of beverages are included ;)! Have a great time!!

I just got off a 4 night on Friday and we had booked a cabana. However, once again due to high seas we skipped Coco Cay and spent the day at sea. The cabana for 4 people was 120.00. It included 2 float mats, 2 sets of snorkel gear, 4 bottles of water and a different meal. I also heard from my father who was the one who booked it there was going to be a bottle of champagne. The cabanas can only be booked on the ship at the explorations desk and there are only 4-5 of them. When we got on the ship at around 1130 nobody had reserved them yet. But again we never made it to the island. I don't know why RC even puts this on the itinerary this time of year. After speaking to several of the crew they all said that the majority of the time they cant tender.

On a side note, the ship for its age is in great condition. The Viking Crown Lounge could definitely use some TLC. The sub flooring was coming up and was a real trip hazard for my step-mother.

I was just on a 3 day this month and noticed the same thing up in the Viking Crown Lounge with the flooring. I thought I was going to fall through the way it bowed and buckled.

That floor has been like that for a long time. Years.
