William W Posted November 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2011 I'm 5 days away from my cruise on the Allure this coming Sunday, and just check in to print my documents, and noticed that I have been moved from a Category M Cabin on the Deck 3 to a Category L cabin on Deck 11 near the front. Would this be consider an upgrade?
PantherFan Posted November 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2011 I wouldn't consider that an upgrade since both are inside rooms. Being near the front would be a negative for me, although deck 11 gets you closer to the pool decks if that is where you spend most of your time. cb at sea Posted November 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2011 The cruiseline considers higher decks to be better....I prefer being in the center of a deck, near stairs and elevators. The room they moved you to will be identical to the one your had...both are the same size.
William W Posted November 29, 2011 Author #4 Share Posted November 29, 2011 So I suppose this is a case where the Upgrade Fairy visited but did not sprinkle enough pixie dust? I'm with the other posters, I'm not necessary "thrill" with this upgrade, but that's what I get for setting my C&A Online Profile to Auto Upgrade. Sunkissed Mommy Posted November 29, 2011 #5 Share Posted November 29, 2011 Personally I think its a better location. Deck 3 is underneath the Casino, Nightclub, Studio B area and could potentially be loud. I sailed in a forward cabin on the Oasis on deck 8 and found it to be nice, no movement, and very easy to access everything!
