Rare Musky Ike Posted December 5, 2011 #26 Share Posted December 5, 2011 Thanks, I've got it now. :)
paul929207 Posted December 5, 2011 #27 Share Posted December 5, 2011 One other thing, the credit is for each Platinum/Elite passenger. So if the person traveling with you is also eligible, you each get the credit. But you must each sign in to the system and select the package to get it. John in Cicero Posted December 5, 2011 #28 Share Posted December 5, 2011 the free Internet minutes is really about the best perk. You can go get the appetizers each evening, but we were on the Grand's recent transatlantic where MOST of the passengers were either platinum or elite and the place was so crowded it wasn't worth the bother. Same with disembarkation lounge: so many folk there it may have been better to wait elsewhere. However, the opposite is true for things like the Alaska cruise, where hardly ANYONE was platinum or elite. We even made the "top 40 most travelled" party, with only 11 cruises under our belt. caribill Posted December 6, 2011 #29 Share Posted December 6, 2011 OK, I'm still a bit confused on the wording of the Platinum internet credits. Is it additional minutes if you buy minutes, or is it free minutes you can use with or without purchased time? Others have explained how the credit covers one of the packages. However, you do not have to purchase the package (for free with the credit). If you prefer, you can just use minutes without buying a package. The minutes used will be deducted from your Internet credit at a rate of 75 cents a minute. If you do this, you will get many less free minutes than if you had selected the package. While this is true, it will substanially reduce the number of free minute.
