what snacks can you bring off the ship?

I have some picky eaters with some allergies and I am trying to figure out what is OK to bring off the ship for those emergency snacks- not to replace a meal- but for those moments when the kids are really in need. (These will be purchased prior to the cruise).

 

I was thinking things like:

 

peanut butter crackers

chips in sealed bags (small)

cracker jax

pressed fruit (sealed in package)

 

Are these things OK or any other easy suggestions? Thanks so much!!!!

We have family allergies as well, as We Travel GlutenFree.

 

I carry snacks on the ship when we board so when we spend the day in port we have things to eat. I have carried potato chips, tortilla chips, peanuts, gluten free crackers, cheese -yes cheese, fruit roll-ups, juice boxes, etc. I have even brought salsa, and we've had a fiesta on a Caribbean beach :D. I haven't had any issues what so ever. I even take my soft sided cooler, with a shoulder strap - about 14X16 size as my carry on packed very efficiently.

 

I also carry a note, sometimes 2 or 3 of them depending who all is traveling with me from a Dr. that we are to carry gluten free snacks with us while traveling. I go over this extensively when I do a gluten free group cruise for my business.

Prepackaged stuff is fine....it's fresh fruits, veggies and meats that cn be a problem...no country wants a "non-native" pest introduced!
