I am looking for pictures of the new bathrooms in the Deck 11 Aquaspa rooms and have looked everywhere - have I missed them? I have seen comments that the showers are lovely, would love to see them

I am looking for pictures of the new bathrooms in the Deck 11 Aquaspa rooms and have looked everywhere - have I missed them? I have seen comments that the showers are lovely, would love to see them

I don't have photos but I have sailed post-refurb Infinity in a Deck 11/AquaClass stateroom...

The bath is very similar in size/layout/look/storage as has always been featured in non-suite verandah cabins on the Millennium-Class ships... In fact, the room itself looks surprisingly similar--right down to many of the details and including the closet set-up--like a Concierge Class room on the Millennium-Class ships...

The baths do feature the same jetted shower panel [by Grohe, I believe] as you have seen in AquaClass on the Solstice-Class ships... And the rectangular shower [it is not the S-Class cylinder] features two glass doors that open either in or out [the ones in my cabin could have sealed better; there was always water on the bath floor following a shower (Guest Relations notified)] rather than a shower curtain... It is my understanding that the baths in the AquaClass rooms on Deck 9 have been similarly retrofitted...

There was a recent post relative to installation of night lights in the baths on the M-Class ships... Infinity has them as a replacement to the wall-mounted hair dryer but, even on Deck 11, there is no longer an electrical outlet in the bath...

It was fine--and brand new is always nice--but I didn't find the AquaClass baths in the new Deck 11 cabins to be anything special... Those on Solstice-Class are to my mind larger/more stylish and offer better layout/utility [other than the wash basin!] and more storage...

I did like the Deck 11 location... Though served only by the aft elevators [very convenient to Oceanview and Blu] without going outdoors, I liked the quiet, privacy, and short corridors... There are doors at each end of the port and starboard corridor; the aft doors offer a quick shortcut to the Sunset Bar/aft section of the buffet while the forward doors access the open deck [toward Qsine or down to the pool]...

Thanks very helpful - we too are in 1133 and like you, were first to book and did not know about 1140 etc. We are not smoke sensitive so will be fine. I am glad the bathroom seems quite roomy and has a decent shower.

This will be our first non suite experience for 10 years but we are sure we are going to really enjoy it as we love Blu so much we are "trading down" to guarantee our seats at the table.

We are also in 1133 but on the Millie and there were 3 cabins available at the time of our booking. The Celebrity website does not give a good example of the aft cabin's balcony layout. They all look the same. I would have booked another if I would have known.

One suggestion, we are wait-listed for 1140 if there are any cancellations. Also, I check daily for any other cancellations on Deck 11 aft. Might get lucky or not, but it is worth a try.

We have booked deck 9 AQ for Summit and after reading this thread I'm thinking that most/all the balconies for AQ 2 are covered with some support/obstructions?

Difficult to find exact into and if there's locations where the overhang is less or more?

Any help would be appreciated...as for Infinity upgrades, just got off 2 weeks on this ship and it was lovely! Appeared to have all areas updated except the casino and when looking down on balconies below (we had aft FV) the covers were sadly rusted and needed some attention!

Overall, the ship was beautiful and we enjoyed all the new amenities alot! However, they were REALLY stingy on requested lounges to the balconies. We had a huge balcony with only 2 chairs and a table, after repeated requests did obtain an additional chair, no lounge, no footrest...nada!

Hi Xport. I have been following your comments on various threads for Infinity AquaClass cabin 1133 as I just booked that room for an Alaska cruise in July. Any information you have about the room and the ship post refurb would be very much appreciated. Any pics of the room you can share would be great.

I also have a question about AquaClass. The info on the Celebrity website and what I was told on the phone differ. The gal on the phone told me that AquaClass is considered higher than concierge class and that we will get all the amenities list for the concierge cabins plus all the extra for the AquaClass. Is that accurate? I ask as on the website it isn't promoted this way. I queried why the AquaClass was less expensive, even for the aft cabin 1133 and she said it was just because there's a promo on right now.

I'm a total newbie to cruising so any and all advice is welcome.

We will have 1111 on the Millennium after the updating. This is also a side cabin on deck 11, I am really curious about smoke? Will we be bothered there? The couple we are traveling with are very sensitive to smoke, we are on the port side. And I would love to see some pictures, especially of the balconies on those side deck 11 cabins.

Also, am I correct that there is a bar just below those cabins? I would love to be able to carry drinks up to the room each afternoon while dressing for dinner.

I know the family rooms have the large balconies but they should not have loungers as its a regular balcony category not a suite.

Understood, however for the size of the balcony and the fact that it is a 'family sized room' two chairs looked mighty small on that big big balcony!

Actually, friends who were in a 'sweet 16' were able to score a lounger, although it was not a current style, they must've pulled it out of storage!

I was wondering if anyone had any pics of the decks of the 'side' rooms on Deck 11? There have been lots of pictures of the aft rooms but I am wondering if there is any covering on the side decks and if you can see them from Deck 12.

Thanks

I was wondering, also, if the balcony on the "side" cabins on deck 11 (we're in 1118 on the Millie for next year) are covered. Any input is appreciated. If they're not, we might switch to an AQ on deck 9. Thanks.

All the aft cabins have loungers. It really has nothing to do with suites. Here is a picture of the refurbished FV.

As you can see. it has a 4 loungers and a table with 4 chairs. We have been in suites before. They only have loungers if the balcony is large enough. Most of the S1 suites have regular balconies and no loungers

Dmk, is that 8181 on Infinity? My sister and her family have 8181 booked in August to Alaska, and we are in 8166, starboard corner aft. Definitely hoping we will have loungers! Have heard conflicting reports though, such as the previous poster in a non-corner aft FV that had 2 chairs and a table. Wonder if they rearrange depending on how many people are actually staying in the cabin. We will have 5.

J18ktleo, the one next to you on the corner would have been 8166, which is the one we are booked in. Hoping they improve the furniture situation before our cruise. Maybe they will, since they would not need ads many loungers by the pool on an Alaska cruise!

Was not able to see your pictures of 8168.

Thanks for the picture.. we are in 9197 on the Infinity in April. I was afraid we only had a table and 2 chairs. This looks much more comfortable... :D

The aft balconies are "shaping" up like this.

I extended the balconies on cabins 1138, 1140, and 1141 based on the pics I've seen so far.

I did an overlay of deck 11 and deck 10:

aftbalconies.jpg

Not to scale, of course.:)

Cabins 1130 and 1133 look like regular balconies.

Cabin 1140 looks like a balcony with a full extension.

Cabins 1138 and 1141 look like they have a balcony with half that extension (due to angle of the railing).

1140 looks like the one to grab if you have a chance. No stairs looking at you and the largest and most private balcony.

1138 and 1141 are a close second. Almost as big a balcony but due to the angle you can be looking at people that may be looking at you. They don't

have hallways along one of the walls or stairways right next to your balcony.

1130 and 1133 have the smaller balconies, least amount of privacy, have a hallway that runs along one of your walls and stairs right next to your balcony divider.

NOTE: All of the aft cabins beat your living room at home. :D

Mr. Julius:

Thanks for the deck plan. I was going to book to 1133 or 1130, now I am going to book 1140, or 1141, 1138 instead if I could. On X website deck plan, they all look the same.

Ricky
