Question for anyone who has cruised out of Seattle

We will be cruising to Alaska in June. We're looking for the best way to get back to the airport after the cruise to pick up a rental car. It will be the 4th of July when we return. I don't know if there are any car rentals at the waterfront and don't expect any open on Sunday, July 4. Do any car rental companies send shuttles to the waterfront? Cathy

There are some car rental agencies in the downtown area, not far from the pier. I made arrangements through Avis.

We cruised to Alaska out of Seattle on the NCL Sky last September.When you get off the ship there are lots of taxis and limos at the pier. We had no problem getting one. The cost for us was $30.00.This was to the Airport. Relatives took a limo to a hotel and it was the same price. Are you spending time in Seattle or flying out the same day?

We also cruised out of Seattle to AK last Sept. on the Sky (Terrible ship!!!). There are plenty of taxis from the airport to the terminal and vice versa. They know the schedules and are lined up. We got a ride back to the airport from a woman with a cargo van, who only works when the ships come in. She was a sweetheart and very pleasant. Only $15 per couple. Look for her van. Enjoy.
