Native Floridian 26 Posted December 20, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 20, 2011 On the stockholder benefit page it says: Employees, travel agents cruising at travel agent rates, tour conductors or anyone cruising on a reduced-rate or complimentary basis are excluded from this offer. This benefit is not transferable and cannot be used for casino credits/charges and gratuities charged to your onboard account. What about Early Saver or Past Guest fares? Do you still get the OBC? I would think these are reduced rate. Also, on the gratuities, how do they keep the OBC from being used for these? Thanks all!

firefly333 Posted December 20, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 20, 2011 OBC is always used for everything. I think thats a legal disclaimer. Anything including tips will go against any OBC you have. The only rate I have heard of its not good with is interline (i.e. you are getting a insider rate). It used to not be good for military, but that has been changed. its now good for all public rates, just not employee/travel insider rates.

The reduced rates that are referenced are interline discounted rates and or free cruises that type of discounted. Regular booking rates are not effected. The stock holder OBC is non-refundable and it tagged as such. That is how they determine how it can be applied to S&S charges. Whereas ES OBC is refundable and can be used on anything because it is essentially money due to you.
mrpayroll Posted December 20, 2011 #5 Share Posted December 20, 2011 In the past, ours has been used to help pay gratuities.
