South Pointe Park Miami after cruise?

We will be returning from a cruise Saturday 1/21. I am thinking of booking a hotel for night after by the airport for easy Sunday morning departure, and booking rental car for Saturday. Reviews for South Pointe Park are very good, but lots of notes about problem parking. Has anybody visited this park on Saturday mid-day after a cruise? Was there any problem finding parking?

Yes, mid-day on a Saturday you are very likely to have to scout around the neighborhood to find a parking place. Do you feel lucky?

Instead I would book a South Beach hotel and skip the rental.

 

Very little parking in the South of Fifth area. It is mostly residential with valet. I don't think the park has a single parking space.

 

You could always valet at Montys or Smith & Wollensky and have lunch (great idea) then walk around. Both have amazing views.
