carol459 Posted December 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted December 30, 2011 I am diabetic and cannot drink alcohol(conflicts with medication). I would like to bring non-alcoholic beer onto a RCCL ship in February, 2012. Has anyone had any experience trying to bring non-alcoholic beer on board?? Thanks Rick
Coralc Posted December 30, 2011 #2 Share Posted December 30, 2011 They sell a NA beer onboard. I think O'Douls. I sort of doubt that RCCL will allow you to bring your own.
CaptData Posted December 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Contact Special Services and see if it will be allowed in your case. They do sell non- alcoholic beer on Allure/Oasis but I forget which one it is.
vickiw0318 Posted December 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted December 30, 2011 Most "non-alcoholic" beer and wine do have a trace amount of alcohol in them. (Check the labels.) When I became a close friend of Bill W. years ago, I was advised not to drink them. I don't know if it is enough to cause an adverse effect to a diabetic, but there is some there. CaptData Posted December 30, 2011 #6 Share Posted December 30, 2011 The carb count is high and so is sugar (i beleive). I would test 2 hours after trying some at home and see how it affects you before your cruise.
carol459 Posted December 30, 2011 Author #7 Share Posted December 30, 2011 pretty sure they sell odouls I know. $4 per bottle The carb count is high and so is sugar (i beleive). I would test 2 hours after trying some at home and see how it affects you before your cruise. I do drink 1 or 2 a week. No noticeable effect.
