Request waiter in traditional dining?

Your best bet is to talk to the MD on the day you board. The wait staff moves to different stations each cruise. They also take several weeks off at the end of each contract and change ships quite often. If it has been more than six or eight months since your last cruise I would say your chances of finding your favorite again is not good. Irv

I emailed the Maitre d’ before a cruise asking for a paticular waiter if he was still aboard. We didn't hear anything back, however on embarkation day we ran into the waiter who told us that the letter was received and we were assigned to one of his tables. :D

Please don't bash me for this posting..... We asked for a large table for the purpose of meeting people but it seems it might be possible to ask for a table without children. Love them but not at the dining table. Should I speak to the Maitre'D the first day?
