mountainhouse Posted April 12, 2005 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Has anyone had success requesting a particular waiter in traditional dining? Tnx,
irvjacque Posted April 12, 2005 #2 Share Posted April 12, 2005 Your best bet is to talk to the MD on the day you board. The wait staff moves to different stations each cruise. They also take several weeks off at the end of each contract and change ships quite often. If it has been more than six or eight months since your last cruise I would say your chances of finding your favorite again is not good. SharkieRools Posted April 12, 2005 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2005 I emailed the Maitre d’ before a cruise asking for a paticular waiter if he was still aboard. We didn't hear anything back, however on embarkation day we ran into the waiter who told us that the letter was received and we were assigned to one of his tables. :D
Aquarian Posted April 12, 2005 #5 Share Posted April 12, 2005 I've always been under the impression that if you go to see the Maitre`D Hotel with a large enough tip in hand, anything is possible?

twocats Posted April 13, 2005 #7 Share Posted April 13, 2005 Please don't bash me for this posting..... We asked for a large table for the purpose of meeting people but it seems it might be possible to ask for a table without children. Love them but not at the dining table. Should I speak to the Maitre'D the first day?
