Savoy or Mandarin in London

Based on location to sites alone since we have only a few days in London,

 

Would you recommend the Savoy on the Strand or the Madarin Oriental or is there another choice in the same category?

If that is the only criterion on which you would like to choose between these two hotels, then I think that overall the Savoy is closer to more of the main sights than is the Mandarin.

 

The answer to your other question is that there are a number of other hotels in the same general category as these two; but on your sole criterion of proximity to the main sights, I don't think that any of them would beat the Savoy.

Thank you, that is what we were thinking. I am open to suggestions however on other properties...these were the only two we found at the time that appealed to us, but we are open-minded on other properties.:)

Have a look at the Lanesborough. It's another beautiful hotel with top class restaurant.
